And this is where we tread warily into the murky world that falls between fiction and reality, Agnes.. This is where we ask ourselves "Is it feasible"? We know Jane's character very well because we hear her conversations with Elizabeth and her complete almost inability to believe ill of anyone. My contention happened when Bingley (as he was always meant to) returned and confessed his undying love for Mrs Bennets three course meals (joke) Jane. At that moment (again assuming that we believe what we are told) Jane would have forgiven the weather for hailstoning on her wedding day.

Oh how wonderful though, if Jane had torn into Bingley and Darcey and thrown them out of Longbourne House into a thunderstorm. Ah, well...(-:
