Re Mrs. Reynolds: I have trouble imagining she’d be so enthusiastic about her family if she worked for Lady Catherine but if we are treating her as if she were real, it’s possible. However if we are treating her as a plot device it seems to me that the whole reason for her to say all this is for Lizzy to learn things about Darcy that she couldn’t have observed herself. Not to say that Mrs. Reynolds is unbiased, or doesn’t fangirl him a bit but IMO there’s meant to be a lot of truth in what she says.
