My guess is more people are reading than are commenting, but that's just a guess. I've seen stories that go on a while and then start getting comments, and I'm certainly guilty of that. However, this site seems to run hot and cold lately. When I first joined many years ago, it was one of the more active sites. I joined to try to find things for my wife to read which would make her happy, as her mother was fading away, and my wife was particularly fond of Persuasion. Instead, I was the one who got hooked on Austen fanfic, while my wife became a fan of mediocre British murder mysteries (we have always both liked good ones, like Miss Marple, but my wife will read or watch anything).
