The impatience I mentioned a post or so back regarding Lydia is abating, as I find myself pulled into the excellence of your characterizations. How nicely the captain handles Mr. Bennet, who is true to Austen's template. I also like the overall idea of the Bennet ladies facing and surmounting the shame of a sister's fall. Jane's desire to not pander to the people who spurned the family is great.
