Oh, she'd be nuts if she wanted to have babies with him at this point ;-) But I think both have been some kind of pressure on the subject in the past years with regard to their jobs, so it would more easily be brought up than, say, gardening. Especially when meeting someone who may or may not play a role, and who will be expected to play a role once it leaks out.by Lise - A Novel Idea
Chapter Eleven Once was a coincidence and twice was a habit, indeed. “So if you’ve touched me more than once, it’s a habit?” Anna Margaret asked. “Yes, I’m now in the habit of touching you. I think, though, that now that they know what I look like without my disguise, they may not feel the need to take pictures anymore.” “I hope so. Being watched is one thing, being judged is another.” She wby Lise - A Novel Idea
Chapter Ten Once on the road again, Anna Margaret felt much calmer. He had been correct; her muscles ached today. She had been happy to sit in the passenger seat and after making him promise he would take the first motorway he came across, she allowed him to drive north over the back roads. It was not the most sensible compromise for people who did have a deadline, but it felt good. “Call myby Lise - A Novel Idea
I didn't watch it at all. Speculations in the Dutch media about the football world/euro cup are still unrivalled when it comes to irritation factor, but Eurovision comes a good second. In recent years established successful artists have been volunteering to go, and this often had some success. This year it failed. So I'm curious what the tone will be now: usually after failure people say we shoby Lise - Tea Room
Chapter Nine She had gone to sleep on the couch, tired enough not to mind that it was a couch. Frederick had let her; he had merely said goodnight. In the morning, she was woken by someone lightly shaking her shoulder. “What is it?” “I’m going for a run.” “A run.” It was still dark in the room, but she did not know how it was outside. “What time is it? Is it dark? You’ll be run over.” Thereby Lise - A Novel Idea
Le Petit Train n'a pas réussi... c'est pas dommage, ça. Wir sind schon raus. We're not paying enough, so we have to battle the kitsch countries in the semis. Je ne te promets rien en ce qui concerne le chat.... We're always watching Forever at that time, but I could watch on the laptop. Though Ioan is nicer to look at than Conchita.by Lise - Tea Room
Chapter Eight Frederick did not admit or deny that he was stupid, or whether he perhaps had other intentions. “Who loves me and what does that have to do with my needing a hug? I mean, it matters to me, but why does it matter to you?” “She might not like it.” She meant, of course, the one who had phoned him. The one she did not like to hear about, for reasons she did not like to investigate.by Lise - A Novel Idea
Chapter Seven “Do you think we’re still being watched?” Frederick asked when traffic on the motorway had slowed down. “I’ve not kept track of which cars were behind us.” “I haven’t either, but they would have had to work really hard to figure out where our taxi was going and no one came into the rental office there after us. Of course they could have had a car ready and followed the taxi, buby Lise - A Novel Idea
Yes, LOL, I was thinking that as I was posting! I need a title! I keep forgetting until I post. Must make more effort to remember to work on it.by Lise - A Novel Idea
Chapter Six Arriving in Genoa, Anna Margaret was no closer to deciding what they should do. She disliked this immensely. Usually she was all for swift decisions. “Shall we get some coffee before we move on? We still need to decide how we’re going to get out of here.” King Frederick had not become more talkative on the bus ride. In fact, he had napped. Which had been rather annoying, since iby Lise - A Novel Idea
Chapter Five It was a good five more minutes trekking -- descending slightly, or so she thought – until they reached a narrow, paved road. It could even be someone’s driveway, as it clearly was not designed for two cars to pass each other. Still, it was infinitely more comfortable than the wilderness and King Frederick led her to the left. He kept a grip on her arm, because he felt she did notby Lise - A Novel Idea
Chapter Four When she came back, His Majesty had got his tracksuit back on and was working on his shoes. She pulled on her neat black trousers and her running shoes. Her underwear was not completely dry yet, but they could not hang around for longer. Then she moved away from the coast, into the wilderness. Just when she was navigating a combination of rocks and prickly bushes, her phone beganby Lise - A Novel Idea

Chapter Three The bodyguards disappeared one by one and in the end only Anna Margaret and the king were left. He kept on eating and he kept on reading. She was long finished, but she did not know where to go. And quite frankly, her legs felt too tired to stand up. She preferred being ignored if that meant she could stay seated. “So,” he said eventually. “You’re not here to tell me I must get aby Lise - A Novel Idea
Chapter Two At five-thirty Anna Margaret took a quick shower, pondered whether to dress in running gear already and tied her hair back. She did not usually go out like that, but no one knew her here. At a quarter to six, there was a soft knock on her door. George looked awake. He was probably up early at home as well, since he was never late to work. He simply did not look ready to run, but reby Lise - A Novel Idea
I started to do some more work a year ago, so I had less continuous time to write. I sort of lost the inspiration to start up agian every time. Then not long ago I started to amuse myself before falling asleep and this came out of it, more as a way of getting back into writing. But then when there wasn't much translation work at some point, it got long and the characters just went on with their stby Lise - A Novel Idea
I can't think of a title yet, but it's king's day here and that seemed like a good day to start posting this fluff. I'll do the blurb after chapter 2 or 3, otherwise it's a spoiler. Chapter One Anna Margaret was shown into the villa by a couple of security men in tracksuits. They had recognised her, of course. George had not even had to act all official. They seemed to know whom she had comeby Lise - A Novel Idea

I still don't see how you could exercise on it! Just a balance thing, maybe?by Lise - JAFF Library
Is everyone still here? The story is pretty slow, isn't it? I've just read 9 and 10. Interesting how Miss Lambe is half mulatto (is that 1/2 or 1/4?) and still a desirable party, when origins were so all important. How was the black population in the West Indies viewed then? Was there a sort of gentry or even middle class? The Miss Beauforts remind me of the Miss Musgroves.by Lise - JAFF Library
Interesting how Miss Diana Parker describes all those people in terms of their health. Or what she perceives it to be. And all these friends-of-friends-of-friends-of-friends who are very likely totally unaware of being expected at Sanditon!by Lise - JAFF Library
I read 7 this morning while I was getting dressed, but I have yet to read 8. Now that the children are in bed, I may. Sir Edward - what an idiot. I wonder, do we have guys nowadays who read that sort of thing? But quite dangerous too, because of what he perceives himself to be. His sister - charming when there's something in it for her. Lady Denham - showed some more of her true character, too.by Lise - JAFF Library
I haven't read the next ones yet, but last time it took me about 15 minutes... Write it down while you remember it well, I say. I'll try to read the next ones later today, if the tablet's battery hasn't run out by then (son & angry birds).by Lise - JAFF Library
...in that book by Reginald Hill (Dalziel and Pascoe, forgot title) the Dalziel chapters are alternated with letters home from Charlotte. So there you get her POV, but I gave up the book because I disliked her writing style, ironically :-pby Lise - JAFF Library
Are they enormous hypochondriacs or are they really ill? They do seem to be experienced 'shoppers' of medicine. Also, Mr Parker's opinion of them seems a bit off.by Lise - JAFF Library
It clearly shows that he's not practical, because the old home was in a practical location and the new one isn't - and did anyone else think of the new one being 100 yards from the cliff edge and their having 4 small children?by Lise - JAFF Library
Definitely a social climber. Or, maybe better, a financial climber. And Sanditon itself seems tiny. With no one actually there.by Lise - JAFF Library
Don't most of the other books start with something about the principal protagonist's family? I read at wikipedia and the description there of Sanditon did sound like it was a different kind of project, but of course it's just one reader's opinion...by Lise - JAFF Library
They have 14 children and to save money they don't leave home... so I assume if they want to meet with other adults, those must come to their house, apart from social visits in the neighbourhood of course. new face sstaying over for two weeks might actually be welcome -- and provide another opportunity for a child to get out in the world.by Lise - JAFF Library
