So, now we are hopefully moving to the finale? (I like this story a lot, but the pace could be a bit faster).by mcepl - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I am quite certain it was a joy to write it, and it was certainly a joy to read it, but I am afraid that the scene was not enough English. The cruelty of the English society is in its coldness. There would be no big speeches and theatricals, just coldness and ignoring. I can imagine a lady stepping over fallen Miss Bingley, who would be then silently and without anybody’s open notice taken away byby mcepl - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Thank you! I am not sure whether you are not turning on impertinence of everybody present slightly too much, but I really enjoyed this chapter.by mcepl - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I haven’t seen her as being naturally outspoken, but that everybody has their limits, and obviously Mary had just hit hers. Something like a way less dramatic version of “The Cliffs of Hertfordshire” by WadeH.by mcepl - Derbyshire Writers' Guild

Yes, the Fordyce Sermons are fanon, but I think she was more religious, and I don’t see it as a bad thing. Obviously.by mcepl - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
All wished Mary her luck, and it seemed that the Bennet household achieved an unusual quiet period in the next few days. Unfortunately, the quiet was not meant to last. Just barely a week later in the evening Elizabeth and Jane were chatting before going to their beds, and suddenly upset and crying Mary rushed to their room. “I just cannot do it! I don’t know what to do! I am so unhappy!” Withby mcepl - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
All opinions of characters in this story are their own, and they don’t necessarily need to correspond with the opinions of the author. Mr Bennet hasn’t considered himself to be too much a religious person, but he was now contemplating how Mr Collins’ only contribution to the Christian religion in England is testing any good subject of His Majesty King (in whatever mental state he happened to be aby mcepl - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
