I really enjoyed this! I'm looking forward to the rest! I've often thought that vapid silliness (Lydia and Collins) and rakehell scoundrel (Wickham) aside, Mrs. Bennet and Lady Catherine are the two most ill-mannered people in the story. A proper confrontation between them would be epic, and it would truly take a steam-roller of Lady Catherine's arrogance to make herself heard over Mrs. Bennet. That was lovely, thank you! I greatly enjoy your writing, and am always delighted to see an update. I find the way you've managed to change Darcy's reputation in the Meryton community by him behaving in his natural manner. And with Lydia's propensity to gossip, Wickham may be exposed as a lying coward rather soon. That was highly enjoyable, thank you so very much for sharing it with us! You've left it in such a lovely spot too, the perfect place to get the imagination running while answering the important question of if Bingley got waylaid by his sisters, and if Caroline did succeed in making herself ridiculous (I imagine the gossip spread through London fairly quickly). Another great update, thank you! I'm loving a Jane that isn't quite as forgiving and I'm interested to see where you're taking the Miss Thompson thing. My first thought was she's be lovely for Bingley, and it would likely piss off his sister, but then you're setting Bingley up with Georgiana by the looks of things. Ah, Miss Bingley.
