How did that happen?by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh dear. How can you leave the story hanging like this? I know you won't kill off Elizabeth, but still...by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
That was terrific. I thoroughly enjoyed Mr Bennet taking Elizabeth's role in the scene with Lady Catherine.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I wasn't concerned about a court case; it is the possibility that the evil-doers read the gossip columns and are able to figure out that the niece survived, will be able to recognize them and posed a substantial risk to them as long as she remained alive. There is a target on her head and they know she is at Matlock.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I am very surprised that the authorities permitted Elizabeth to be referenced in the news accounts of the attack. Any information the authorities have regarding the bad guys had to come from her, putting her in great danger. Even her current location has been identified. Not very smart, unless it was intentional to try to catch them attempting to kill Elizabeth.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Another great post. I'm looking forward to the next.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Terrific chapter. I'm am looking forward to their next interaction. Hopefully Darcy will figure out how to bring Uncle Gardiner to Elizabeth instead of bringing her to him which might convince Mr Bennet that she is well enough to leave Darcy House. I'm not ready for that and I suspect Darcy and Elizabeth aren't either.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
You made Elizabeth so very brave. I can't imagine getting through the medical procedures she endured. I hope Darcy tells her that Bingley is returning to Netherfield. That should give her something to look forward to. Or better yet, send Jane to nurse her before Bingley leaves.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh no! How could you leave us like this? I know Elizabeth will live but still. Needless to say I look forward to your next post.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
This was well-written and really caught the spirit of today's holiday.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Great update. I loved this line -- “I thought my courtship of one day was fast,” muttered Mr Darcy under his breathe -- v. funny. I am trying to figure out the meaning of the title. Does it pertain to Lydia? Or maybe Caroline?by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Great chapter.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Looking forward to the next update!by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Very interesting beginning. Looking forward to your next post.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
No! Please do not change anything based on my comment. Your writing is terrific and I will happily read your story as planned by you. In truth I do not care much for Lydia, Kitty or Mary, and I can certainly imagine Lydia's reaction without an explicit description in your story. I'm looking forward to your next post.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Terrific chapter! I'm looking forward to Lydia's reaction to returning to the schoolroom.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I love this story and I hope you are planning to post again soon. Please don't abandon it!by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I'm late to the party -- I read another story with the same name and thought this was a repost of that story. I'm glad I checked because this is a great story. The humor you infuse into your writing is charming. I especially loved Mr. Bennet's reaction to Elizabeth's letter preparing him for HER BIG NEWS. Very funny. Anxious for your next post.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
My apologies for the delay in leaving end-of-story comments. As you must know from my lengthy comments throughout your postings, I thought your story was exciting and provocative. You are a terrific writer and I look forward to your next effort.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I loved this chapter! Your writing was at its best -- I could just picture Darcy alone and shivering in gaol, reviewing how seriously he had mucked up things during his visit to Netherfield. His offer to court Elizabeth in front of his formidable aunt was a brilliant touch. And your depiction of Lady Catherine, quelled by Mr Bennet, was perfection. I also enjoyed Mrs Bennet's description of Lady Cby LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Well! What an astonishing ending to a chapter filled with revelations. Why did Lady Catherine travel to see Mr Bennet? Was it because of something Mr Collins wrote to her before he was killed? Was she there because of Darcy's as of yet unrevealed interest in Elizabeth. Or maybe she was the mastermind of the thievery ring. Perhaps Wickham's silence is attributable to his hope that she would be ableby LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Interesting take. I'm not a fan of modern JAFF but I liked this.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I knew that Mr Bennet should have interviewed Lydia! It's puzzling that he didn't. So now we know that Wickham's alibi wasn't valid -- he must have returned early from his trip. Did he plan to steal from the residents of Netherfield while they and their servants were occupied hosting the ball? That would explain the jewelry and cufflink Louisa and Darcy were missing. Was Denny in on it? Or did heby LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
My goodness! What an exciting chapter. I appreciate your posting schedule more than ever in light of this cliffhanger. Although I suspect we will not get our questions answered in 13.by LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
What a great story! The plot thickens. In this chapter, we learned that Mr. Bennet apparently believes that the two murders are connected and that the perpetrator is a man. Since we already know the pool of suspects, there are very few men who it could be – most have been cleared. We know it isn't Mr. Hurst , Mr. Bennet , Darcy , or Wickham . Who do we have left? Bingley, Sir William and Coloby LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Since we are more than half way through, I am guessing that no new characters will be introduced to increase the pool of suspects. So it is someone we already know. Someone susceptible to blackmail. We know it was not Elizabeth, Mr Bennet , Mr Hurst , or Darcy . I don't buy Caro's alibi for Louisa . And where was Bingley when the murders were committed? And why was Wickham's alibi so easily acceptby LisaY - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
