Any chance for a three-shot? E.g. meeting after 2 years in Vegas and finding again a Thrope / Tilney certificate charged to his room because Henry's sister married Isabella's brother? (At least in this case they were already engaged, with the bachelorette party in Vegas, placing Catharine, and with Henry driving the Groom there who eloped with the intended bride as she could not stomach her fatherby Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild

I had trouble understanding what happened in the paragraph that starts with "Both Dr. Figueroa's golf game [...]" What was the referral paperwork? Who did not open it? (Figueroa or somebody at the uni? And why on earth would an uni not open an application, if so?) And how do wagers or regular business dealings come into the story (for this specific paragraph)? I don't understand. I can't tell if Fby Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild

**Sigh!**by Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I somehow both love and wonder at the naivety she exhibits. She doesn't have a suspicious bone in her body - only a gut feeling of right or wrong that she ignores easily given any semblance of an explanation. As many people told her, and now her brother, it's in a sense a gift. I also love reading her passion about her job. What I don't understand is how she made the choice for nursing. Why not dby Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild

I do prefer the current, darker, end compared to the alternative. The alternative has too many jumps - giving up your very soul for a random young person; not seeing the loophole that having your 10th wish fail as a pre-requisite is not that bad: you simply don't make one wish and search for true love. Or you make a wish that can't fail (e.g. undo everything). I am not sure that wishing for trueby Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Completely. You are so right in why it turns out so... I just wish she had avoided that end. And Nelly did brilliantly in earning herself a willing victim.by Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Loved loved the story and this chapter in particular! I loved Wickham's story so much that I wish I had all the details in a spin-off! I loved Lydia's stories and life! I loved Anne De Bourgh, getting married and obviously passing her name to her husband, as her adopted children are (still) De Bourghs. I know these things did not (easily?) happen in Regency, but this was a treat: a story full ofby Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I'm happy for Jane, and I understand that Lizzy was trying to give her sister hope / justify and excuse a bit Mr. Bingley / turn her sister's mind away from the gloomier thoughts, BUT ... ... no, no matter what his sisters had told him, he should have the strength of conviction and character to see through his own opinions and ideas. If he personally thought Jane indifferent, then I could underby Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Late at night. Just finished this in one go. It's wonderful. The last few lines confused me. The "it is done" etc sounded as if Murray and Bennet colluded to murder Wickham. Investigating the suitors? Which one did he miss?by Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
This is an excellent post. Your text is absorbing and I hope we have the chance to read this story to its completion.by Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild

Really nice When the first daughter gets married, she'll be surprised with her marriage settlement It seems they'll be around 70+ k with the 22k of mum and co, another 44+ of sneaky daddy and 5k from the missus. that makes the girls a pretty good catch!by Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh this was really fun! I wonder how far you could push it, having Darcy being the exact opposite to canon (only when it comes to resisting Elizabeth). I imagine scenes with Miss Bingley, the courting, Wickham, Lady Catherine expressing her displeasure and facing an immovable wall when it comes to Darcy's opinion and a speedy resolution to all usual events that are in the book. It would be hard toby Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild

I love the way you write and I look forward to see how the next month for them evolves. Darcy did think after all that Elizabeth would have to be informed about Wickham...by Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Loved it. I chose to imagine Lydia running towards Wickham at the precise moment he is stabbed. She only sees a shade moving away while she starts screaming. No matter what Wickham was or how empty-headed she was, seeing a person murdered in front of your eyes is shock enough...by Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
It is a good start. Rather unorthodox to condemn a relation of your host so strongly and in their own house, but it is a good start. She sounds a bit like Mary, moralistic and speaking from a perceived position of moral superiority. She would have a long way to go in order to see her own failings and be less absolute in her opinions.by Maria V - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
