Help! I have written two emails to admins (Chrysty and Amy) in the past month, with no reply. Are they still here?by Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Thank you! It's been quite a few crazy years. How funny is it, that as soon as I have time to write, the rest of the 2020 world goes to all heck? We are living in wild parts of history. Be safe! Hope to be back on the boards soon with some fun outtakes/one-shots to enjoy!by Abbie C. - Tea Room
Kara Pleasant's story is available now on Amazon, or directly through the publisher QuillsandQuartos.com. I am SO thrilled for her!by Abbie C. - Tea Room
My dear Fearful Symmetry fans, I haven't died (thankfully!), but we went through quite the dickens of a half-decade when my hubby and I moved across state lines, had two babies while living quite far from family (hence no breaks or free time), and worked our tails off for a few years to bury grad school debt. I'm excited and thrilled to be getting back to writing after such a haitus. My elder boyby Abbie C. - Tea Room

Oh, yes! Knightley is technically my favorite--but I was never find of Emma Woodhouse, whereas I loved Elizabeth! So what's a girl to do? Knightlify Darcy!!!by Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Thank you, Lily, for catching an error in my original Ch. 19 post! And thank you to all my dear, dear readers here. You make my day. It's been a rough two years, so I am very sorry for my delays. Life took off at a breakneck speed for me. (Job transitions, baby, moving to a new state, more transitions, new work). So thank you for your patience and continuing enthusiasm! Thanks again for your patience, dear Archiver! See my note on the other post marked ARCHIVE VERSION. I hope this makes things easier for you. - Abbie C. Chapter Eighteen Having made her way to Miss Bingley’s escritoire at a removal from the rest of the company, Elizabeth opened her letter from Miss Darcy and read: “Dear Miss Bennet, “When I read from my brother’s letter that Tuesday was toby Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Thanks to Lily for catching an important error in Ch.19! While my wonderful volunteer betas try to catch everything, when I post in another language, they can't get it all!!! Thank you for your care & knowledge. Crysty, please archive this version. To make archival posting easier, I have also included Chapters 16 &17 (here) from my updates in the Phorum way back in the winter (naughty meby Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Thank you, Lily! I appreciate your readership and correction! I'll post a corrected version tonight.by Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Dear readers (and Roxey and Liz Spears), thank you for your patience! I’ve been teaching a class and chasing a toddler. Sad excuses, I know. I am struggling a bit with the chapter that follows this one. Strange, isn’t it? I tore it apart, put it together a new way, and didn’t like how its seams matched up with the chapters that flow towards the end of the story. It just feels like an out-of-placeby Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Very astute! Since Lizzy volunteered no information, Mrs. Bennet drew her own conclusion...which isn't too far off the mark, if you think about it: Mr. Collins wound up retracting his proposal in any case (thank goodness!)by Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
JanetR, I am indebted to you! Thank you so very much. I appreciate your eye for detail. It's very hard for me to proof my own writing, as my brain often 'writes over' what I ought to have said versus what is written as I reread. I also appreciate your historical notes. WHAT FOLLOWS, then, is the version with corrections that needs to be archived. Thank you so kindly for your speedy edits! And thby Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
A/N: Back again! Thank you for your patience as I navigate new motherhood. Here’s our “off to London” chapter! Thank you to Roxey and Lizzy S. for prereading (and Lizzy S. especially for catching my errors and old-school spacing after periods). I did my best to clean it up. Any mistakes are mine. Readers, do let me know if you spot more errors before this gets archived! Thank you for coming baby Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I wish I could give weekly promises, but with a baby and a hubby that works a lot and relies on me to assist with needs in our parish, I can't. Case in point: this week was spent cooking meals for sick folks, visiting a dying parishioner, and dealing with an ear infection and a nasty cold (baby got both, I got just the cold), which meant very little sleep for us and a lot of time soothing baby's cby Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Don't fret, Lisa! The angst-ridden overtones will quickly fade, since Elizabeth's liveliness is impossible to contain and Darcy's regard can only ever respond to her teasing. Look forward, then, to a lot of covert flirtation as they try to figure out the state of each other's interests and overcome doubts . I love, love, love writing the teasing exchanges that make these two so fabulous as a couplby Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
This was so fun! Thanks for a creative revisit to the fun parts of so many characters....Bingley's caprice, Caroline's calculating nature, Darcy's wicked sense of humor. It's all great!by Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild

A/N: Well, all, I am back! After approximately two years of life’s mayhem (working two jobs, getting pregnant, then hubby graduating and getting a job that necessitated a move across state lines with a newborn. . .), I’m now in a place with my time and creative energies to resume Fearful Symmetry. Thank you ALL for your extraordinary patience and dedicated readership! It’s good to be back; it truby Abbie C. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
