Of all Austen's books, I think NA is the one most heavily focused on female friendships and how they develop (Isabel & Catherine v. Catherine & Eleanor). JAFF tends to be very focused on the romantic relationship but there are many others to explore, and which I think give context/meaning to the lead couple.
