I hope the duke complains to Lydia's father about how it is too much to expect that Col. Forster will supervise her. It's a relief to hear that Saunderson is keeping an eye on her. I think her mother should have saved the birthday cake so the absent celebrant wouldn't have missed her own party. Will Elizabeth's grandfather surprise her by going to Pemberley in a fortnight? I like that she has good memories attached to her clothes.
