I too, loved this story. It shows a slightly more friendly and helpful Mrs Bennet, and, as others noted, a delightful Mr Darcy.

I'd just like to comment on your use of "mum." You are not the only one to write "Ma'am" as "mum" but it is wrong. "Mum" is British and antipodean English for "mother" or American "Mom." Ma'am is pronounce with a long vowel, mum with a short one. If you've ever watched "Yes Prime Minister" you'd have heard how the PM address the Queen as "Ma'am." The mistake probably arises from people having seen the JA movies without having read the novels, or not read them carefully enough.

All that being said, thank you for a lovely story, even if it wasn't so lovely for Caroline.
