Thanks for this instalment! Your story is progressing very nicely. It is good that the Bennet parents are portrayed as having more consideration for their girls. I was momentarily transported to the USA when you said "dollar amount". Perhaps change that to "sterling amount" or just "amount of money."
The careful unfolding of the potential courtships is such a contrast to what people often seem to experience in today's society: everybody in a hurry to get into a relationship without considering the weightier matters of character and possible compatibility of lifestyle. No wonder there is so much misery in the world.
