I thought it was telling in P&P that Darcy's uncle and wife did not attend the wedding. Nor was Elizabeth introduced to them prior to her marriage - or at least JA did not include any such meeting. I suspect because it was not integral to the plot and therefore unnecessary. I don't think it a stretch to assume that their reception would be cool and that elizabeth would have to win them over.
