I can only speak for one of the sites who is actively contacting authors in the fandom, most who have never posted on their forums. As for one of the stories, the author had already requested removal on the very same day the translations were discovered. Plagiarism has been an ongoing issue since the ease of digital publishing. Many authors now go straight to it, rather than posting on sites for readers to enjoy. Most of the stories that do get posted are soon removed for publishing, as well. We've lost so many stories due to sites disappearing, as well. Even with digital reader versions, hackers have found ways to copy and distribute. It's been awful.
