Question re: Georgette Heyer audiobooks

January 06, 2018 08:59PM
I recently started to listen to audiobooks during commute or housework. I saw some of Georgette Heyer's Regency romances on Amazon, read by Richard Armitage (which has to be great :-) ) However, my concern is that they are marked as "abridged". I dislike the thought of acquiring an abridged version if it's significantly shortened (besides, Heyer's style is hilarious so I don't really understand why one would want to cut her books). Does anyone know whether the change in the abridged versions is noticeable? The audiobooks in question are The Convenient Marriage, Sylvester and Venetia.
I'd appreciate any insight! Thanks!
