I agree with Brigid: the light purple was hard to read. Dark purple or blue would be better. However, I also agree with Harvey: most FF readers would instantly recognize the original Austen words and appreciate how you are able to use them in the new context. You are not writing an academic paper, after all! Do what feels best for you.
