I have been looking for 2 days and I am about to go mad!
I can only remember scenes: Darcy overhears Elizabeth talking to a male friend. She says "Marry you! Of course" or something like that. It leads Darcy to believe she is engaged, but really Elizabeth is just happy for her friend (who has been accepted by someone else). The Colonel sees Darcy's distress and helps him to leave the (party, theatre, opera). I think the story ends with Darcy and Elizabeth kissing outside his Townhouse with Georgiana and the Colonel watching from the window.
Does this sound familiar at all?
