Okay, but suppose the dear girl had been traumatized by Wickham? Putting her in the hands of someone he knew would be gentle and caring might be considered the kindest thing a brother could do. Also, if as an untouched virgin, or nearly untouched, Georgiana might not even know what she was missing. As long as her brother was near, and her husband Bingley doted on, where's the harm? She would probably derive great comfort from seeing how close her husband and brother were.

Certainly, the narrator in Pride and Prejudice says that Darcy was saving Bingley for Georgiana, and had never told his good friend what Georgiana suffered at Wickham's hands for exactly that reason.
Quote

To no creature had it been revealed, where secrecy was possible, except to Elizabeth; and from all Bingley's connections her brother was particularly anxious to conceal it, from that very wish which Elizabeth had long ago attributed to him, of their becoming hereafter her own. He had certainly formed such a plan, and without meaning that it should affect his endeavour to separate him from Miss Bennet, it is probable that it might add something to his lively concern for the welfare of his friend.

In this altered scenario, Darcy would eventually give up his plan to have Georgiana marry Bingley, because Jane Bennet marrying Bingley works even better. Just as in canon, too.
