The house stood there, dilapidated and worn away by the weather and other hardships it had come by. The owners had been long been dead. They had cherished Pemberley for as long as they lived. The two loving couple had no heirs and therefore were forced to give it to their nephew, John Wickham. Fitzwilliam Darcy had not intended to do so but since Charles Bingley and his wife, Jane, had only one child, nothing could be done but give it to John, for the Wickhams had plenty of children.
The many years passed until the tragic and sad death of Darcy occurred and John inherited the house. Elizabeth Darcy was grieved very much and did not succeed her husband for very many years. That is how we get back to the point of how the house had become a terrible mess....
But are we not forgetting someone? What had become of Georgiana Darcy? What of her children? That is for others to add on.

We last left off at the question, what about Miss Georgiana Darcy? Why was not beautiful Pemberley left in her care where perhaps, it would have not become so dilapidated?
It had been 5 years since Darcy and Lizzy had gotten married. Georgiana had been delighted to have Lizzy for a sister in-law because she had only had a brother. She would have had a sister but her sister had died a year before Darcy was born. Darcy had been a kind and caring brother but his stiff pride had always been so hard to ignore and yet here was Lizzy who was not afraid to defy him! But all happinesses have a darkness and this marriage was not an exception. Ah, yes, readers must remember that Lydia Bennet had married George Wickham, who had caused the Darcy siblings a great deal of pain. Georgiana was not aware that Wickham was her brother in-law and her brother did not wish for her to know. So it was concealed. Georgiana was only told that Lizzy's sister had a very unfortunate elopement to a certain gentleman...which brings us to the story....
It was a bright and lovely afternoon. All the creatures and flowers and trees had finally woken up from the white blanket which had covered them for so many a months. How beautiful! Georgiana thought to herself as she walked along the small path in a hidden part of Pemberley. Lizzy and Darcy had gone to London to visit Lizzy's sister, Jane, and her husband, Charles. So Georgiana was all by herself. As she was walking, she noticed a bright red rose, to most, a red rose would seem a very peaceful and calm thing to do. Well, Georgiana could only feel pain at the sight of a rose. She felt a pounding pang in her heart as she remembered the day Wickham had presented her a luscious, red rose and asked her to elope with him, because it was so much more romantic. She really had loved him...and she still did, but she knew better now. Georgiana's cheeks burned. Silly me! I should not be thinking about him. It will only make it worse. But little did our heroine know that the rose was just the beginning...

We last left off Georgiana thinking painful memories but are these also a sign?
George Wickham threw himself against the wall of the alley. He was clearly drunk. Lydia was in labour again and he could not bear to stay and hear the screams, the ripping of flesh and the silent squall in the house. He began to worry about the number of children he had. Lydia had already given him 3 boys and 2 girls. Oh good God! What am I doing? What have I done? Must my life be lived in this monotonous manner? For the next few minutes, he just roamed lost in all his sense. Then an idea suddenly struck him!

Elizabeth Darcy picked up her pen and proceeded to write.
My Dearest Georgiana,I do hope you are doing well without us. Jane, we discovered shortly after our arrival, is with child. I am so happy for her and Charles. But really, how are you? I am sorry that I did not write sooner but everything is in confusion here at Netherfield right now...
Lizzy put her pen down and sighed. How was she going to tell Georgiana that they were to stay there at least another month or two because of Kitty's foolishness?
Georgiana sat in the library reading a play of Shakespeare. She sighed. For one moment she wished she could enter the world of Shakespeare. But perhaps it was because Lizzy was not here, everything was so dull without her! The silence was too much to bear, it gave too much time for her to think and the rose had given her painful thoughts. Then the sudden sound of a knock at the door broke her thoughts.
"Yes, Mary, what is it?"
"Miss, there is a gentleman wishing to speak to you."

Georgiana could feel herself beginning to take little gasps of air as she slowly walked down the steps. She was nervous, very nervous. The presence of a man was something Georgiana was not used to, excluding her brother. As she arrived near the landing, she looked up. It was a gentleman, she had not seen ever in her life. But immediately, she could feel color rising from her bosom. He was a tall gentleman with dark hair and handsome features who seemed to be about her age.
"Ah, Miss Darcy, excuse me for my intrusion on your privacy but I was here to discuss some matters with your brother, but it appears I have come during one of his journeys with his wife," he said, whose color was also rising.
"It is no matter. I was reading up in my library," she replied.
"Yes, I have heard you were quite accomplished. I will not intrude on your hospitality any further. I shall be off."
Georgiana, could not bear to send someone, stranger or not, without true hospitality and quickly said,
"Sir, I feel that it is you who has had an inconvenience and I would be honored if you will have dinner with us." This was an invitation the gentleman could not resist. It was then decided that he should stay.
After dinner....
The crash of thunder made Georgiana jump. It was loud and the storm was of dark and evil nature. Perhaps the kindness of our heroine is a problem. But she felt that should Mister Osborne carriage turn, she would be at fault. With this feeling in mind,
"Mister Osborne, I feel as though you shall be in great danger if you leave tonight. I wish that you would stay here at Pemberley and leave tomorrow morning." Osborne looked out the window, indeed she was right.
"Yes, I should be grateful."
With that, the both took off for separate bedrooms. Osborne, led by a manservant.
Osborne laid down and looked up at the ceiling. He had not known that Darcy had such a beautiful sister with such a sweet temperament. He smiled to himself, he could only think of her sweet face...
Who is this Mister Osborne? What is his business here and is he in love?
