Oh, she is insulting him. I can't wait for it to come out that both think the worst Jane and Charles and that both of them are pining the loss of the other. Which means this will be a particularly agonizing Hunsford.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Agreed that Lizzy has a huge amount of blame to shoulder too. I know it's a plot device for our dear author, but I literally called Bings an idiot as soon as it became apparent that his note wasn't delivered. Something that important deserved a bit more effort to see it delivered. There will be plenty if blame to go around before the end. Darcy never made sure Wickham had left, to start the listby Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Mr. Bennet played his cards perfectly! I said last chapter that I thought things might not be like everyone else thought. Let's give the old n some credit for knowing its less painful in the long run to rip the band-aid/plaster off than to slowly peel it away.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Bingley is an idiot and his lack of seeing to the task himself - or directing a footman to take the letter to Longbourn - has caused a lot of grief for him and for Jane and is going to cause even more havoc with the consequences of Elizabeth believing Wickham's lies about Darcy. Other than that - so awesome to get this post!!!by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I'm on your wave-length, Edith. I think.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I am very sorry for your loss. I was there myself, ready for my mother's suffering to be over yet not really ready to let her go. It gets easy with time.by Linnea Eileen - Tea Room
That makes sense. But I still think he would struggle with the guilt if he was the one who changed her. He knows the dangers she would have to live with. However, with this story, I think we should be more worried that Wickham will /attack/change one of Elizabeth' sisters and that's what will make Darcy feel the most guilty.by Linnea Eileen - Tea Room
And to be clear, I never said Alpha Male.by Linnea Eileen - Tea Room
My vote is a loud NO!!!!! It seems to me, based on what you have revealed so far, that Lizzy, Fitz and Darcy would all be the poorer for it. The cost would be highest for Elizabeth. I don't know how she would be able to live the loss of the special bond she has with animals. She saw how they feared the "wolf". She wouldn't be able to ride a horse anymore - something Darcy really misses - and whby Linnea Eileen - Tea Room
Thanks for the spoilers. I kinda likely Darcy as a new werewolf to a pregnant woman. Your brain sometimes goes missing but eventually you get it back when the hormones are back to normal.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
That sounds about right at this point in the story.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
You made it to the end of part one! woot! I was right and I was wrong. Elizabeth did have to sacrifice herself to save Darcy, but she did help him to learn to live in peace (for the moment) with his wolf-self. I have a feeling his wolf will not be happy with him to leave Elizabeth behind.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
So Ashbourne is playing matchmaker. lolby Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I'm with you there, Maria.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Woman, that was a very cruel place to leave off. I'm soooo proud of you! The truth is now out and Elizabeth is feeling like a complete idiot. Darcy's in a silent snit and Mr. Bennet isn't helping. Or is he... Here's to hoping the next chapter contains a private in Mr. Bennet's book room between the two would-be lovers. Oh, and that was quite a moment for Lizzy. She learned a lot about herself thby Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Enchanting. I hope it helps clear your mind for the RL project.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Although I too hate waiting a week, I don't think Autumn will or even should give in to our whinging. As someone who has posted long stories, I can appreciate wanting to stick to the schedule and savor every week's reactions. However, Autumn, if you do decide to throw in an extra posting here and there, I shall not be mishiss at all.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Gah! Yeah, I think she's going to claim to have spent the night with Darcy and that Bingley had just found them - or something similiar. GAH!by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Gah! I LOVE this story but I HATE coming to the end of a post. GAh! This is so good. But what a cliffie! GAH!by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Yeah, yeah, yeah, my friend. I'm still around!by Linnea Eileen - Tea Room
Yeah, I agree. But it's wonderful to know your writing again!by Linnea Eileen - Tea Room
Yeah, me too. Kitty isn't much for Adam Smith, eh?by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Evil woman. Now we'll have two brothers fighting for Kitty's attention.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
And now Elizabeth knows the truth. This should be a very interesting dinner! Heather, I'm curious about the excerpts Mr. Bennet read. Did you make them all up or are is there really a book called New Historical and Descriptive View of Derbyshire that you borrow from, with appropriate changes of course?by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Yeah, I threw in my idea earlier, but wanted a seperate response just to let you know how much I enjoyed this chapter. It's pretty obvious by the end of the post that Elizabeth is the key for Darcy and Fitz to merge. The problem right now is that Darcy doesn't know how to open his "person" when he is in wolf form. It's got to be Elizabeth that helps him do that. Right now the wolf has the advaby Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I'll throw in my idea since you asked. How about having Elizabeth talk to Charles that day while he is calling on Jane? She can ask that she be able to see the wolf in exchange for her pledge of silence. She wants to see the wolf to verify that it wasn't the beast that killed the groom at Netherfield. You can word it so that Charles still thinks that she knows Darcy is "Fitz". They can plot forby Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
THANK YOU! And in all seriousness, I think you will feel better posting and revising than leaving things hanging. I speak from experience. I was ready to post No More Tears for several months and had to wait for my Beta-in-Chief, Grammar-Goddess-Divine to have enough time to get it cleaned up and it just killed me to know I was sitting on a story, even though I had a lot of revisions to do to maby Linnea Eileen - Tea Room
That's very good advice. I would further suggest that you out the changes you plan to make at the end of the chapter, or even purhaps at the end of the section you plan to change. The feedback you get will help ease what you want to do for your revision. When the time comes, it's pretty simple for your archiver to insert the revisions into the story, especially if they are big chunks wher she doeby Linnea Eileen - Tea Room
I don't think that's my story, but it could be. lol. TSSAW is post here BTW.by Linnea Eileen - Tea Room
And so we get the other perspective of the meeting. I think this is going to be a lot of fun reading the paralleled accounts. On first blush, I have a feeling that Freddie and Lydia have a lot in common. This may or may not be a good thing.by Linnea Eileen - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
