Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss of your mother. As C.S. Lewis wrote in A Grief Observed, the death of a loved one is not something you "get over, like having a cold", it's something you "get used to, like having your leg off." I mostly agree with Jim D (thank you, Jim). My biggest problem with the 2007 version is Anne's running, Mrs. Smith's miraculous recovery, and the almost total destruction of The LETTER. It is one of the loveliest things in Jane Austen's work, in my opinon of course, and what they did to it is a major disappointment!
