Dum, de dum, dum, dummmmm ... well, if Elizabeth wasn't mortified before dinner, now with Mr. Bennet's comment, she probably would like the earth to open up and swallow her. I guess Heather has Mr. Bennet true to form. However, someone should put Mr. Bennet in the corner for very bad behavior. Meanwhile, Mr. Darcy certainly has gotton an eyeful and earful of his possible in-laws. I am surprisby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Thanks to you and your Mr. Bennet - I laughted and laughted!! Thank you for your wonderful humor - you did a terrific job with Mr. Bennet!! I really enjoyed your description of the chair Mr. Darcy was sitting in and how he sunk into it and had to lean forward to compensate for it. You peppered such great humor in that scene - fun to read!! Mrs. Bennet has the capability to mess everything upby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh, I like this story's beginning!!! I also like how your Elizabeth recognizes the younger Mr. Darcy being shy. Can't wait to read more!! Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
You bet, KMarie, the more questions the merrier!! And, yes, that would be much more insulting than being called "tolerable"! Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I know you will give us a HEA - but, this story could continue in so many different directions. Will Mr. Bennet help the situation or make it more difficult... Will Mrs. Bennet show up at the door behaving as usual and scare the pants off Mr. Darcy... Will Elizabeth die of mortification when she finds out how wrong she was... Will Mr. Darcy be upset that Elizabeth was acting like a half-by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Hehehe .... maybe you could incorporate it into your next story, Suzanne!!!! :-) Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I feel there will be some bumps in the road, (perhaps caused by Mrs. Bennet talking about Mr. Bingley's wealth?) but, when Darcy realizes that Elizabeth would marry him for himself and not for his money, he will be elated. Elizabeth is so in love with Darcy. She would not have told him how his leaving is upsetting her so, nor would she have allowed him to comfort her and she most certainly woulby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Renee, I do believe she would be happy. She is happy in his presence. She also recognizes his intellect and sense. She can see by what he has done with Netherfield to know that he is ambitious. She is falling in love with him, not just because of his appearance but, hook, line and sinker. It was only when she realized he was leaving that she began to be disappointed. Probably, just mby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
You know, the interesting thing is that Elizabeth is not so disappointed that Mr. Darcy is a steward. She is disappointed that he will be leaving. Elizabeth will marry only for love, and when she realized he is leaving, she rationalizes away an attachment, (well, he is only a steward and certainly they couldn't have married anyway). Suzanne, what fun this story was!! My favorite part in the chapter was when Elizabeth, feeling a little playful, decides she wanted to allure Darcy. This is so unlike her, I can just see her unpracticed expressions to Darcy, who was sitting across from her. No wonder his eyes widened!! No wonder, he told her she was driving him mad!!!! What a cute little movie your story would make!! Thankby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Gosh, this story is so entertaining!! I keep wondering if Mr. Bennet will tell Mr. Darcy, of Mr. D's mistaken idenity? I think he won't let on since Mr. Bennet enjoys other people's follies. Mr. B. would probably rather just sit back to see what happens. I am second guessing here because I am already anxious for the next installment of your wonderful story!! Feel free to post early, if you'by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I loved the title of this chapter: "Animals, Wild and Domestic", it was the perfect title between the animals, who were tame compared to the domestic kind, like Caroline Bingley and the dude that tried to attack Elizabeth! I know earlier Darcy was angry with Caroline, but I wish he had "dealt" with Caroline better than just glaring at her! She keeps insulting the woman he loves. This story, so draws me in. I believe we all have a vulnerable part in us, just like Anne. I appreciate that you have her suspecious, especially, when she needs to be, but still vulnerable. It seems her new friends are all that they appear to be. I hope so. You see, you have drawn me into this story!! Well done, Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Wonderful story - thank you for sharing with us. As much as I was looking forward to the chapter being posted - I wasn't ready for the story to end! Love your writing - I look forward to your next story!!!!! Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh, the Mr. Bennet and Mr. Darcy meeting ... finally, someone will know who Darcy really is - but, will Mr. B share this info? This is too much fun! I love the twists in this story. Unlike in the original, both, Darcy and Elizabeth are developing an interest in each other. At this point, Darcy would not insult Elizabeth. And, Elizabeth hasn't developed any prejudices against him. It will beby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh what a wonderful chapter!! So very entertaining - makes me want to read it again! (and I will!) The more their adventure began falling apart - the better our two main characters behaved with each other. Poor Lizzy, though, bruises will take a while to fade. But, what will the Gardiners have to say about their "adventure"?by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I loved in the beginning, they were so shocked to see one other - their exchange was hilarious!! Honestly, Elizabeth was getting so upset with Darcy, I truly thought she would have reach down and splash him with water just to wake him up to reality or that she would stand up in the boat - and Mr. Darcy become unglued and order her to sit. Did you at any point consider anyone of them ending upby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Perfect, Elizabeth .... one way to Mr. Darcy's heart is to ask him about Pemberley!! This was a wonderful update - so much was resolved. And the kiss!! - Elizabeth is not sure if she feels love for Darcy yet - but, she didn't want him to stop kissing her!!! Great chapter!! Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh, the ways this story could go!! Elizabeth is definitely interested in him. Will everyone at the Assembly not pay him any attention because they think he is a steward? Mr. Darcy would not be hearing Mrs. Bennet go on and on about his 10,000 pounds!! Certainly his reception at the Assembly would be different, and I would imagine quite refreshing for Mr. D (even if he didn't understand). Eby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh, I love this story and I love your writing! These two are so very stubborn - your Mr. Darcy knew that taking Elizabeth's chamber pot out was the "icing on the cake" - she was mad and he knew it (I love how he insisted, in no uncertain terms!) - that exchange was so fun - however, after that it was so sad. Neither are at their best. But, Mr. Darcy tried to be amiable, to kind of make up forby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh, I so enjoyed this! Please consider, on occassion, surprising us with a new chapter before a weeks time. As you can tell, I am looking forward to reading more!! Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I am sorry, but, this is a Fun read! (“Jane,” she complained sleepily, “please stay on your own side of the bed.") I love their uncomfortableness, their banter, and their wit. They do have to do what they can to stay alive, but, in the long run, they are compromised and eventually, I would imagine they will begin to think upon that fact. Only negative thought is, I hate waiting a week to rby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
A very exciting read and filled with interesting history - thank you! Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh, yes, I know, but, it happened later ... I meant specifically about Bingley.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
What a chapter - what an ending to this chapter!!!!! It will be difficult to wait for the next!! Well done. Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
What an exciting tale this is - I love your descriptions and especially the Naval history!! I feel like I am right there trying to get to Scotland ahead of Anne and her abductor! Please don't make us wait long to find her. Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
My question is - will she go onto visit the Gardners and Jane in London. Then, while sleeping with Jane, will Elizabeth "sleep talk" the whole proposal to Jane? Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I was delighted to see your update - this was wonderful - I loved the bantor between Darcy and Elizabeth. "Whatever shall I to do with you" - oh, my what a comment for Darcy to say!! They truly have met their match!! Great visit with Charlotte also! Thank you - thank you ... can't wait for more! Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I love this - what a wonderful twist to the story - very exciting and well written!! I can't wait to read more!! Laura M.by Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh, no, not what I had expected!! I am in a quandry as to how this will end. Is Darcy struggling with his feelings? Or, has he made a decision that Elizabeth is simply too beneath him? I do have to say though, don't you just love Bingley's character - his faults are few and his love for Jane is perfect - to accept everything that has happened and still return, marry Jane and give his supportby Laura M. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
