*squeaks* Oh, Darcy, you've just played matchmaker and are in no way aware of it! *dances happily* I loved that end scene, and how Darcy ended up giving Ash hope that Kitty's affections in no way lay with Freddie. I wonder if Ash has truly been under the mistaken belief that Kitty likes Freddie and that he's been providing what he deems as subtle aid in the supposed courtship. That is what it seeby Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Sometimes, Elizabeth and Darcy both make me want to bash my head against the desk - something I absolutely love. It isn't often that characters inspire such a reaction (or any reaction, really) in me. Elizabeth continues to be stuck on seeing the worst in everything that Kitty does. Kitty's having a quiet, private conversation with Mr. Fitzwilliam - Elizabeth is mortified. Kitty shares a joke witby Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
*chuckles* Oh, this was lovely! Such a great chapter! I really enjoyed Kitty taking Mr. Fitzwilliam to task over his behavior. Somehow, I have a feeling Ash set that up so she could give his brother a good scolding, which he probably felt she needed to give him, given the scare she had. I do love the touch of angst you've injected. I agree - Kitty has something of a crush on Ash, and thus when hby Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
AAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH! *dances gleefully* He's back, he's enjoying tormenting his brother, and now he's here to sweep Kitty off her feet! Heh, somehow, I have a feeling that Kitty will become Mrs Bennet's favorite child, once she sees that Ash is interested. *bg* Brilliant chapter! I do wonder how Freddie will handle meeting the girl he tried to mess around with again. I imagine tby Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Heh, it would, except as Claudia just pointed out to Maria, the "gentleman" who harrassed Kitty at the library was actually a Mr Cheveley. So unless Ash's little brother was playing around and gave a false name, they are two different men and the theory goes right out the window. Oh well, I'm sure all will be explained quickly enough. Someone even made the suggestion that Mr. Fitzwilliam greatlyby Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Ooh, intriguing! I am so very interested to know as to why Kitty and Mr. Fitzwilliam are so struck by one another. I think Maria had the idea that he was the one who bothered Kitty in the library in Brighton, which makes sense. It would also explain why Ash was there to step in. Not to mention, it would show just how quick Elizabeth is to misjudge her own sister. She thinks Kitty is besotted, wheby Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh, excellent! Such great chapters! I love Kitty's slow maturity. She's realizing that she wasn't blameless in the affair, but neither is she solely to blame for what happened. Lydia and Wickham get the lion's share, though Colonel and Mrs. Forster, and Mr. and Mrs. Bennet also must take some of the credit for it. The former two for either not being adequate chaperones, and the latter two for negby Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
QuoteI think that Wickham will be captured much sooner, because these guys were after him only an hour or two after he left, instead of it not being discovered until the morning. Definitely. In canon, Lydia and Wickham were able to get much more of a headstart on everyone. Indeed, if they had taken Kitty with them, they might have gotten much further since there'd be no one to raise the alarm muby Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh, Kitty, this whole incident is going to be a real eye-opener, isn't it? Being left alone on a dark street by your sister as she runs off will definitely drop-kick you into growing up, won't it? You've done such a great job here! I love how you've written both Kitty and Lydia's characters, highlighting both their similarities and their differences. Aww, Ash, such a hero you are, rescuing ladies in idiots who get ideas in libraries! Heh, love that he gave her the advice of stomping on a guy's instep if he gets fresh. Didn't Kitty do just that to him when he and Colonel Fitzwilliam almost came to blows in A Hit, A Very Palpable Hit? Though, about Betsey's disappearance - wouldn't such a thing be grounds for a reprimand or even dismissal? Heby Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oooh, intriguing!! *bounces* I'm hooked! Heh, love that Darcy is mistaken for the steward (though it sounds like he's performing as such for the moment). Great job! Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to more!by Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh my! I'm hooked already by this variation! Kitty going with Lydia to Brighton! I cannot wait to see how this will change things, particularly for Lydia! I love how observant you've made Kitty. As silly and immature she can be, she still notices that things are amiss with Jane and Elizabeth both. It's a shame that she did not ask Elizabeth why she was so set against Kitty and Lydia going to Briby Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh, this is such a brilliant beginning! I love the idea of Elizabeth and Darcy being so full of misconceptions about each other while surrounded by the romance of Derbyshire. Excellent! Heh, Lizzie and Darcy butting heads is so entertaining. Hah, somehow, I expect Darcy will get another chance to ask his question, when their tempers cool. *dies laughing* Oh, this is priceless! Lady Catherine finds love again, and it's adorable! Thanks for sharing! This was so cute! :)by Kim W. - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
