Something tells me Darcy and Bingley will get over their infatuation with India more quickly than their thoughts about the Bennet sisters. But as an audience we have the benefit of knowing what awaits Darcy at Pemberley. I love how you have added extra encounters throughout your story, and can't wait to see what you have in mind for Pemberley!!! Come on Thursday! Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Still the same old Kitty! Her remark about giving time for Bingley to propose cracked me up! Will Ash ask her to dance? He seemed to have a soft spot for her in Brighton. I'd like to see it, if only to give her a feather in her cap in Mrs. B's eyes. Glad to see Darcy back in town and ready to dance! Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Ask and ye shall receive! I had just finished commenting on chapter 41 and after refreshing the screen, there was chapter 42! Dare I hope chapter 43 is up when I finish posting this? I won't be so greedy, but am so pleased to see your pen is flowing! Interesting to throw in Perceval's shooting. Will that play a role in his remaining time in London? At least plans are being made for Pemberleby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Awwwwwwww, so what are you going to do about it, Darcy? He seems to have learned his lessons. How soon before he travels to Pemberley? Glad for Wex and Maggie. Darcy played him perfectly; very insightful to see his own behavior in Wex. Can't wait for more! Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh dear! Is Wickham whining of his attack? A parting shot before fleeing the area? Perhaps Lizzy's herbs have built up some kind of resistence to silver in Darcy/Fitz? And how will they explain Lizzy's presence at Netherfield? Very intriguing story! Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
You're back! Yay! So glad to see this on the boards again! Wonderful post. It's really good to catch up with these characters again. I hope Wex listens to Darcy and pursues Lady Margaret. They could all benefit from her presence. Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Enjoying this very much. I'm glad Lizzy has realized that Darcy is not the light haired wolf, but I wish she would figure out who Fitz is! Loyal, adorable Fitz. Who was stalking her in the woods? I keep holding my breath for Wickham to reappear. Looking forward to more, Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
That was adorable. What other treasures do you have tucked away in your computer? Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Wonderful post! I have to keep reminding myself that he never got the chance to propose and be rejected. It's charming to see the tentative steps they are taking toward understanding one another. It's nice to see Elizabeth courted by Darcy fully aware of his intentions. She seems more willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Can't wait for more! Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I love how things are progressing between ODC. Darcy is making a very good showing and it's nice to see Elizabeth giving him some credit. Looking forward to how their 'dance' will draw them closer and closer. Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Brilliant scene! Collins was expertly managed, and thank goodness, Elizabeth was able to hold in her laughter long enough to get through the interview. I only hope Darcy wastes no time in setting her strait about his lack of brotherly affection. We don't want any kind of tacit agreement there! Will they play the same card with Mrs. Bennet? I guess Lizzy getting lectured from that quarter iby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Well done, Bingley! Let's hope Darcy is just as inspired. Glad to see the joint set down of Caroline. Long overdue! Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I love your premise. So wonderful to see you writing again! Kitty looks to be very observant and in want of only a little self confidence to find her voice. I like her already. Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
That was adorable! Funny that Mrs. Havershaw would have such a similar bonnet mishap on her wedding day. Now I feel the need to go back and re-read the story to see if there are any other vignettes to pull out of our bonnets for you! Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Enjoyed this very much. Love how the Darcy's set the trend with amphibious accessories. Would love to see more stories from you. Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Better and better...... Curious how Elizabeth didn't inform Charlotte that Darcy had in fact introduced his most treasured relation, at least by correspondence. I love this story and how you are developing their relationship! PLEASE post again soon! Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
That was lovely. I guess they owe their happiness to Georgiana this time instead of Lady C. Anything else in the works? I know. So greedy! But you are such a wonderful writer, and have such a true sense of the original characters, I can't help but want more. Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh dear! Now what? Can he really walk away? I guess when he's had no humbling at Hunsford and months to ponder disappointment, he hasn't had enough time to conquer his pride. Perhaps it's time for Jane and Bingley to bring Elizabeth to London for the season, and Darcy can watch other men take an interest in her? Will that make him happy? I know I won't be happy til I read your version on Thby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Enjoying this very much! I find this very interesting to look at Darcy's behavior without the humbling he received at Hunsford. Elizabeth gets to see him where he feels most comfortable, and the populace responds to him with all the respect and admiration he is due, but without their Hunsford confrontation, there's a little more guessing between them. Only upon leaving is Elizabeth gaining a cby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Thank you so much for updating! I've missed this story and am so glad to see it on the boards again! Loved that Elizabeth saw through Wickham's tale. I wonder if she will mention his presence at the party to Darcy? How will this Darcy respond to such intelligence? I love how circumstances have demonstrated Darcy's character without him having to tell tales about himself. Actions truly speakby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Wonderful update. It's nice to see Darcy emerging from his depression with a new found resolve to better himself from the experience. Very curious what the Duke's dinner party and wedding will impart to further Darcy along his path. By the time he reunites with Elizabeth, they will both be the better for this hardship. Hope RL settles for you. Deep breaths. We're not going anywhere. Take cby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Suzanne, It's so great to see another story from you. I love this premise; all the key components from canon unfolding in a different light. Bravo Lizzy, for exposing their deception about J & B's separation right there on the sidewalk in Lambton. Perhaps it didn't show the best manners, but ooooooooh! they had it coming! And Darcy! trying to court her on the sly; it just shows how vitaby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
So interesting how people cross your path in times of need, like little guardian (or in this case guiding) angels. Each encounter seems to reveal a little bit more to Darcy about himself. Love it. Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Poor tortured Darcy. Very curious what G will do with this intelligence. Will she team up with Richard to draw him out? Riveting post. Can't wait to see how you'll peal back Darcy's layers. Kegby Keg - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
