I have a friend who's son has just been tentatively diagnosed with it. I know she was having him evaluated for autism (which is how we met, as my son was diagnosed with hyperlexia and the boys were in the same pre-K program) but this year - with the boys in Kindergarten - the school speech therapist mentioned he fit more with selective mutism. They changed his IEP so that it adequately reflectedby Brigid - Tea Room
Oh my! That was sad and lovely, even if it was a little bit dark. I'd definitely like a few more visits to this world. Megan's perspective would be welcome, but a glimpse into the future would be better. If it's an okay future. Not perfect, mind you, but preferably not apocalyptic and not with either Megan or Ryan dying or anything ...by Brigid - A Novel Idea
I second that motion. Please consider finishing them; they sound interesting!by Brigid - Tea Room
Oh, do please share the link when you have a chance. It'll be interesting to see how this stacks up - both to the book and to the standard Su/Green have now set (which I wonder if they can even match again). I have recently been informed of a group (also not Su/Green) covering The Great Gatsby in vlog form as well in the near future. It hasn't launched yet, but for those who are interested, here'by Brigid - Tea Room
What a sympathetic back story for Lady Catherine and what made her the way she is; it's still a sad situation for Anne, though but the fact that it's a beginning speaks of hope for the future, and that's a nice touch. I rather like Mama Newby, I think. The frank conversation was interesting and very insightful. It may not have been exactly proper, but I'm glad they had it.by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I thought the same thing about Richard!by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Wow! They were all so perfect, I don't know if I could pick a favorite (though Anne DeBourgh's wedding is pretty close to the top).by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I started laughing at the first mention of pork rinds. :)by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Poor Anne. Good for her - not letting the Viscount cut her in public (what a jerk!) and doing her best to acting to fit in with society, but the poor woman ... not even knowing the family politics! (I really hope that the disagreement between Col. Fitz and his brother re the treatment of servants wasn't because Col. Fitz was dallying with any of them.) Will we - ahem - Anne ever find out why theby Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I almost hyperventillated when I saw this update. Then I read it and almost did it again. I'm going to have to reread parts of the story (I've forgotten what became of Lydia) but loved that Mr. Bennet had a revelation of sorts and is trying a little harder with his wife, too. If you *must* end it in the next 10 chapters, please don't let those go by without a glimpse of how Lizzie's relationshiby Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
I love her excitement about the house. How wonderful. (<-- that applies to the whole story, not just C's excitement.) Having her as the source that sends The Bat to Hertfordshire is a nice touch!by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
That was beautiful and wonderful and sad and poignant and ... and ... and ... all in one. Thank you for sharing.by Brigid - A Novel Idea
Poor E with those darn feathers-and a rushed wedding to boot! I'm sad it's over, but it was really cute! Thank you for sharing!by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
That was my favorite line! Love C's thoughts on Mrs. Younge, too. :) Did C ever send the letter to Uncle T? Maybe they can stop the post ... or maybe he'll figure it'll be easier to let her husband deal with her. Yay for Paul George!by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild

That was cute, especially considering Lady C didn't have to go to Australia to get over her bad day. :)by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Mrs. Bennet's logic astounds me. Roxey's got the best ideas for getting around that, but your Elizabeth has bested her mom already once, I trust she'll do it again.by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Not a moderator, but I LOVED it. I already told you that, though. :)by Brigid - Tea Room
Well, that and his whining answer. :)by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Sir Walter?!?! Eeeek! (And not a littlt ICK! too.) Love the new friendship that's developing and Caroline's change in attitude - as well as her acknowledgement of it.by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Oh I love the Hursts in this one!by Brigid - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
