Lovely story! I greatly enjoyed it. Thanks! This I thought so very funny: QuoteBingley looked over at Darcy and noticed that he was still gazing off into space with a besotted smile on his face. He wondered whether that was how he, Bingley, often appeared to others. Probably not. He hid his little flights of fancy rather well, he thought.by Karen A - Derbyshire Writers' Guild
Very funny! Totally in agreement about the broccoli! What about: "I have no fish to deny it!"by Karen A - Tea Room
A lovely book this. Harold Fry, a quite unimpressing man, goes to post a postcard and while on his way decides to deliver it by hand. His pilgrimage starts in Kingsbridge and leads him to Berwick upon Tweed. On his way he enjoys nature, meets interesting and uninteresting people and most of all, evaluates his life. Recently I discovered, through JA, the books of Kate Atkinson. I was looking for a book of the Watsons and bought one with an introduction written by Kate Atkinson. Maybe she's quite famous in the UK, but for me in our small quaint Dutchieland, had never heard of her before. I am now hooked on the Jackson Brodie books. They are funny, yet excellent mystery novels without being gruesome. And JA,by Karen A - JAFF Library
I've read the book some time ago, and I must say, I cannot really remember how it ended. So I'll have to agree with you, the ending wasn't all that magnificent (at least, it didn't make an impression). Nice read, good enough to keep one of the streets (so to say) but nothing spectacular in my opinion.by Karen A - JAFF Library
