What an arrogant…of course she isn’t a good catch because she isn’t, yet, sister to Mr Darcy. If that’s what he is waiting for…then Jane should tell him to not let the door hit him on the backside on the way out!!!!!!


Darcy and Elizabeth need to just sit down and have a good knock-down, drag-out, with words of course, and get it over with. These two keep talking around everything. Darcy is so wrapped up in his own thoughts and feelings that his intelligence is not really hearing what Elizabeth is trying to tell him.

In this period, for a woman to reject such a marriage proposal would be very bad for her family and for her future prospects. And we already know what she would face from her mother. It is such a good match and they are equals in so many things but definitely not in affection. However, even if she loved him, I'm not sure she could overlook his slights and innuendoes....but...she would challenge him on them so they can and talk them out. I see these two headed for a big one! Will it come before or after the wedding? I can hear Mrs Bennet now....'Ohhh my nerves!!!'

And we still have some interference from outsiders to consider...what effect will that have to either delay or prevent the wedding from taking place.
