I am trying not to replace Jane's essential character with a Lizzy clone (I love the second sister!), and I try to keep a close watch on the original text to try align my Jane as she faces a rather different circumstance from the original. She and Elizabeth disagreed on a number of points and although she is sometimes naive, I think she often shows an admirable willingness to believe in people.
