Re: Crysty's Emma Experiments

I wish I was reading when Crysty was posting the chapters, so much can be said about the story… I think behind Emma’s stubborn independence, her over-protectiveness or boarder-line selfishness of her space, is her inability to cope with the outside world. To the credit of Crysty’s excellent crafting, Emma’s character is fascination to me. Not much in her upbringing or background is given in the story, but it looks to me that Emma has unintentionally at first, but intentionally later on, built a world around her to shield her from things that she finds uncomfortable with. She only allows herself a very small circle of friends, she feels at ease in their company, but not enough to confide in them. The fact that she even allowed Greg in her life was a giant step forward. But the line she draws is delicate, and as soon as she feels her world is exposed or being threatened she pulls away.

Greg’s attraction to Emma is magical! He fell in love with her even without knowing it, all he wanted was to be with her, she was fascination to him. He was patient, extremely patient, with her at first, but he had pushed it a little too fast and crossed that delicate line Emma drew a little too soon! There’s no doubt in my mind that Emma loves him, but I don’t think she knows how much yet. There is so much growing, breaking down of barriers, for the two of them to do before they could find true happiness… this is why I am desperate to know what happens next… I’ll continue to hope for a new post patiently, and hopefully one day my patience will be rewarded!
