Writing out of order. A good idea?

I am working on my first story, very slowly. I had the prologue and a bit of Chapter 1 written, when all of a sudden a scene popped into my head. I looked at my overview and decided it would fit into Chapter 7 nicely and started writing, quite easily. I was hesitant at first, but I wanted to take advantage of a working muse.

Has anyone written scenes/chapters out of order? Has it caused issues later on?
